Social Dividend and Employment
Cheng Furui

The author traces the basic features of 'basic income' or 'social dividend' and explores the existence of such social dividends in the present context in China. She then analyses the relationship between 'social dividend' (as social securities) and employment, and points out the problems of social security measures as practiced in the current form. The study covers the social security system of China and suggests methods of using it for ensuring greater economic production, rather than treating it as an uneconomic activity as portrayed generally by mainstream arguments.
