Concept Paper and Call for Application for International Workshop on “Democratic Innovation in the South”, San José, Costa Rica, hosted by The Asian Political and International Studies Association (APISA), the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) and the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), 16 to 18 November, 2006.

The Asian Political and International Studies Association (APISA), the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) and the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) are engaged in the Africa/Asia/Latin America scholarly collaborative initiative encompassing joint research, training, publishing and dissemination activities by researchers drawn from across the global South. They are now announcing a call for applications for participating in the fourth South-South comparative research seminar within the framework of the initiative. The theme that has been selected for this seminar is: Democratic Innovation in the South. The seminar will take place in San José, Costa Rica, from 16 to 18 November, 2006.
