The
Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), National
University of Singapore (NUS), is seeking outstanding
researchers in economics, political science and international
relations for appointment at the Senior Fellow, Fellow
and Post-Doctoral Fellow levels.
ISAS was established in July 2004 as an autonomous
research institute within the National University
of Singapore. It is dedicated to the study of contemporary
South Asia. It aims to generate knowledge about the
polities and economies of the region, and to make
it available to a wide audience. It is closely linked
to other academic and policy research centres within
NUS. ISAS has initiated research programmes on energy
security, India-China relations and comparisons, and
globalisation, development and democratisation. Further

Applications are especially welcome from researchers
in energy security and India-China relations. Applicants
must have a major focus of research experience and
interest in the economics and politics of South Asia.
Applicants for Senior Fellow positions must have at
least 10 years and those for Fellow positions at least
3 years of relevant experience. Remuneration will
be internationally competitive and commensurate with
qualifications, experience and level of appointment.
Vacation leave and medical benefits will be provided.
Depending on the type of contract offered, other benefits
may include housing subsidy, travel assistance and
settling-in allowance.
