The
Japan Society of Political Economy invites you to its
59th annual conference ''The Global Economic Crisis and
State: Alternative Approaches for Monetary and Fiscal
Policies'' which take place on September17 (Saturday)
and 18 (Sunday), 2011, at Rikkyo University, Tokyo,
Japan.
JSPE is an interdisciplinary
association devoted to the study, development, and application
of political economy to social problems. JSPE has been
the largest organization of heterodox economists in
Japan since its founding in 1959.Its annual meetings
have provided important occasions for debate among diverse
points of view. Beginning in October 2001, the JSPE
began inviting non-Japanese economists to make presentations
and engage in debates at these annual meetings.

This year we will have three plenary sessions (2 in
Japanese 1 in English) and 21 parallel sessions (17
in Japanese and 4 in English). 13 English papers will
